British CR:X Kite Race Series at Poole

Weekend #2 of the British CR:X Kite Race Series at the Watersports Academy, Poole

Riders and racers from across the country came together for another weekend of action on and off the water at Poole with the support of Bournemouth & Poole Kitesurf Club.

The weekend kicked off on Friday with a Foil clinic organised by Easy Riders giving kiters the opportunity to learn foiling under expert guidance. In total nine riders progressed their foil riding and are now looking to race their CR:X foils for the rest of the season.

Saturday followed with light winds giving the competitors time to review the CR:X equipment while waiting for the wind to fill in.

In the afternoon light wind allowed some to get on the water. The day was rounded off by a fantastic South African Braai BBQ featuring the famous Boerewors sausage.

The RESTUBE prize was given out to James Gore for his enthusiasm being the first on the water, and the CR:X Club prize was given to the RAF Kite Club for having the most members on the water at one time.

The next event is at at Southend-On-Sea 16 to 17 June.
