Marseille World Cup - Day 5 Medals

Ruggero Tita and Caterina Marianna Banti confirm Nacra 17 Gold

The Nacra 17 medal race at the Marseille World Cup Final resulted in a gold for Ruggero Tita and Caterina Marianna Banti of Italy.

Silver for Vittorio Bissaro and Maelle Frascari, also Italy and bronze for Britain's Ben Saxton and Nicola Boniface.

John Gimson and Anna Burnet GBR went into the medal race in silver position but a tenth in that race dropped them to fifth overall.

Pierre Le Coq of France was was guaranteed a men's RS:X medal and he made it a gold. Silver went to Thomas Goyard FRA and bronze to Louis Giard also France.

Britain's Kieran Holmes Martin won the RS:X medal race to finish seventh overall.

Noga Geller of Israel won the women's RS:X medal race and the gold. Silver went to Lilian De Geus of Holland and the bronze to Stefania Elfutina of Russia.

Britain's Emma Wilson was ninth in the medal race and sixth overall.

Sunday will see five more medal races, involving: Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre, and Amy Seabright and Anna Carpenter in the women's 470.

Nick Thompson, Elliot Hanson, Lorenzo Brando Chiavarini and Michael Beckett in the men's Laser.

And Georgina Povall in the women's Radial.
